These groups are designed to help you go deeper -creating space to reflect on key insights from Global Leadership Summit speakers and explore how those ideas apply to your everyday life. You’ll meet with others who are also committed to growing as leaders, learning from one another, and putting what you’re learning into practice.

This isn’t just about discussion - it’s about action. Together, you’ll take what you’ve learned and apply it in your work, your relationships, your church, and your community.

Lead Wichita is committed to ensuring that world-class leadership development reaches every corner of our city - regardless of background, sector, or circumstance.

Rising Leaders - Every year, Lead Wichita identifies emerging leaders from backgrounds that are often underrepresented in traditional leadership pipelines and invites them into a fully supported cohort experience. Rising Leaders receive a stipend to attend the Global Leadership Summit, intentional mentor placement with an established Wichita leader, and continued development beyond the Summit. This is more than a scholarship - it's a long-term investment in leaders who will shape this city's future.

GLS Streaming Sites - Leadership development shouldn't stop at the city limits - or the facility walls. Each year, Lead Wichita streams the Global Leadership Summit into jails, detention centers, and prisons across the region, bringing world-class leadership content to individuals who are rarely offered access to it. In 2025, over 500 people participated. We believe every person carries potential worth investing in.

Eight weeks. One defining question: What is your work for - and what is your life for? The College Summer Experience is a cohort-based journey for college students combining reading and ideas, real-world leadership shadowing, meaningful project contribution, and personal reflection. Participants don't just observe Wichita - they engage it. Through community immersion and honest self-inventory, students leave with clarity of calling and a deeper connection to the city they're being formed to serve.

Something is coming for the leaders who are ready to go deeper. City Shapers will be a community of Network Leaders committed to leading with abundance, collaboration, reconciliation, and a shared vision of transformation for Wichita. Stay tuned.

The Global Leadership Summit is more than an event - it's a launching pad for the mission of Lead Wichita in action.

Each year, Lead Wichita provides hundreds of strategic scholarships to nonprofit, government, and faith leaders who are doing critical work across Wichita - often with the least margin to invest in their own growth. Because a more equipped city is a more transformed city.

Alongside those scholarships, the Leadership Lobby transforms the concourse into a dynamic, interactive experience featuring approximately 30 nonprofits organized to mirror the State of Our City Realities. Faith-inspired, motivated leaders from across every sector move through the Lobby over two days - connecting with organizations working on Wichita's most pressing challenges and discovering where their own leadership might contribute. It is inspiring, connecting, and transforming - all in one space, all in two days.
